All You Need for Stress-Free Travel

Traveling can be the most rewarding activity, but you do need some essential items if you want to travel stress-free. Last year, I decided to start traveling with carry-on luggage only. Traveling with a carry-on is so freeing, but it requires a little extra planning and some essential tools. You can travel without the stresses of a checked bag too. Learn how easy it is to travel with a carry-on and plan a vacation on a budget!

Bags, Purses, Backpacks

Bags/purses are essential to all trips and travels. Some of the most important items and documents are stored inside them. Plus they can make for an organized and stress free trip or a messy and stressful situation. Cosmetics bags need to be sturdy enough to hold all of your cosmetics and toiletries. Backpacks are essential for hiking, kayaking, picnics, cycling, and any other adventuring that you can imagine. Here are some of my favorite bags, purses, and backpacks for traveling!

They are currently out of stock in the gray and orange color, but the other color is on roll back to $17.99!

Rockland Melbourne 20 in Carry-On Luggage

I have been searching for the perfect carry-on suitcase. Our current luggage has seen better days. I can’t wait to buy this exact luggage (or put it on my Christmas wish-list)!

Cameras

Great trips are only as good as the memories made and the photographs taken. 🙂 I have my favorite cameras that I won’t ever travel without again. Have a dependable camera is a necessity for all adventures. Here are some of my top picks for travel cameras!

Canon Powershot Point and Shoot Camera

Travel Accessories

Whether it’s a great selfie stick, high-powered portable charger, or fantastic lip balm, travel accessories can make long haul flights more comfortable and enjoyable. On our long haul flight to Kauai, (read about that here) I purchased these items to make our 8.5 hour flight comfortable. I highly recommend these accessories!

Inflatable Neck Pillow

This pillow was a life save on our long flight to Kauai. It was the ONLY reason that I got any sleep on that red-eye flight. It inflates quickly and easily. You can’t beat the price either!

Portable Charger

Portable chargers are a necessity on any flight. Many airplanes have charging stations, but if you are unlucky enough to get an older plane there are no places to charge your devices. I suggest bringing two portable chargers per person. I promise you will use them!

Burt’s Bees Mini Travel Set

Nivea Cream

nivea cream for travel

I won’t ever travel without this essential cream again. It is such an all-around moisturizer that works for your face, nails, hands, and body. It’s compact so it fits perfectly in a cosmetics bag.

Adventure Hat

adventure hat

For me, the days of floppy straw beach hats that fly off of my head are over. I love my adventure hat, and I won’t ever travel without it. I wore it all over Kauai including: hiking the Napali Coast, lounging on MANY beaches, cruising the Napali Coast via Holo Holo Boat Charters, and cycling the Kapa’a bike path. It’s so versatile, and this color is my favorite!

Easy Vacation Hair

Who wants to spend hours on their hair and waste precious vacation time? This duo makes for effortless vacation hair. The greatest part is that they are available in travel sizes for all of you carry-on only peeps (like me) 🙂

Dr. Bronner’s Peppermint Bar Soap

travel soap

When you travel with carry-on luggage only, your items have to serve multiple purposes. That’s why I LOVE Dr. Bronner’s pure castile bar soap in peppermint. It’s gentle enough to use as shampoo. It’s a great body bar soap. You can even use it to wash small garments in the sink. It’s an essential travel companion!

Aussie 3-Minute Miracle Moist Deep Conditioning Treatment

travel conditioner

This is the best conditioner…hands down, but it is fantastic for hair that has been dried out due to sun, salt, and chlorine. This can be squeezed into a 3 ounce container to make it carry-on friendly. It smells amazing too! 🙂

Waterproof Strap with Waist Strap

essential waterproof bags for travel

If you have ever wondered what to do with your cash, cards, keys, phone, etc. while you snorkel then these waterproof bags are the answer. The waist straps make it easy to snorkel with your hands free to explore the ocean (or hold your GoPro for epic videos!) Plus they have lifetime warranties so you can return them at any time and receive two more bags for no added cost!
